Find Friends & Comfort
Talking to others who have been through something similar can help you feel less alone. It’s often easier to share our feelings with someone else who’s been there, and you can learn from their failures and successes.
Our online community allows you to connect with others who are willing to share their experiences and advice. These may become some of the most significant relationships of your life. You’ll also hear their questions, and our answers. We expect that you’ll benefit from both.
Here are some questions you should be asking:
Are there people in my life I can be honest with?
Do I have people I can talk with about my injury?
Who can I talk with about how others treat me?
Who do I know who has worked with a lawyer?
Am I feeling lonely or afraid?
What fears and shame are hard for me to share?
Are there people I can call to help me feel better?
Do I feel comfortable talking with family and friends?
Have my relationships changed since my injury?
Do I feel that I can still be myself?
How would it feel to speak openly in a safe place?
